Your past does not define you. It is a blueprint for the present and your future.
Your past is a chapter in the book of your life, but it doesn't dictate the entire story. It's a canvas on which you've painted experiences, lessons, and memories but it doesn't confine your potential or determine your worth.
Every moment, every choice, every step forward is an opportunity to redefine yourself, to shape your present and future according to your aspirations and values.

Our Guiding Principles
We are guided by four core principles that shape our approach to working with clients: empathy, warmth, non-judgment, and humor. We believe that empathy is crucial to understanding and connecting with our clients, and we strive to create a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. We also believe that warmth and a non-judgmental attitude are essential to building trust and fostering a therapeutic relationship that can facilitate growth and change. Finally, We value humor as a way to break down barriers, relieve tension, and bring levity to difficult or heavy topics. These principles are at the heart of our practice, and we work tirelessly to uphold them in everything we do.
Empathy
Deep understanding of your struggles and feelings, from your point of view.
Non-judgement
Unbiased witness to your truth and removing shame from feelings and past experiences.
Warmth
Genuine care and concern for your well-being.
Humor
Recognizing the absurdities in life.

Welcome to Positive Minds Therapy
At Positive Minds Therapy, we offer a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can slow down, feel heard, and work through what’s been weighing on you. Located in Patchogue, NY, our practice is built on compassion, trust, and meaningful connection.
We work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Our approach is collaborative and personalized — therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and neither are you.
Our clinicians use evidence-based approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy to help you build practical tools, increase self-awareness, and create lasting change. We focus not just on managing symptoms, but on helping you feel more grounded, confident, and resilient in your day-to-day life.
Positive Minds Therapy is more than a place for sessions — it’s a space where growth happens at your pace, and where support extends beyond the therapy room.
We look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey.
